The Robert McLaughlin Gallery (RMG) is an artist-centered and community-oriented public art gallery situated in the heart of Downtown Oshawa. Occupying a stunning 36,000 square foot building designed by renowned Canadian architect Arthur Erickson, the RMG is a beautiful and popular art gallery wedding venue in Oshawa.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

Isabel McLaughlin Gallery: The Isabel McLaughlin Gallery hosts exhibitions showcasing pieces from the RMG’s Permanent Collection, featuring works by the Group of Seven, Painters 11, and other notable artists from Canada and around the world. This space is available for ceremonies only, accommodating up to 125 guests.
Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Nurse Lobby: The W.S. Nurse Lobby boasts 35-foot high skylight ceilings and catwalks accessible by elevator, accommodating up to 50 guests.
Arthur’s: Arthur’s offers a panoramic view of Oshawa’s Civic Centre, featuring City Hall, the McLaughlin Library, and Simcoe Street United Church, through a distinctive curved window. This space can accommodate up to 64 guests.
The Backyard: Designed by LeuWebb Projects and Brook McIlroy landscape architects, this outdoor space is ideal for hosting a tented reception accommodating up to 150 guests.
Entire Building: For larger celebrations, the entire building can be rented out.

Prices do not include extras such as additional fees, the bar or upgrades. Venue rental prices include both the ceremony and reception, prices may be lower for just the reception. Guest capacity based on a seated reception with a dance floor. Prices are current as of July 1, 2024.
