Overview

The Eglinton Theatre is an iconic event venue and cinema. Built in 1936, it quickly became one of the finest examples of Art Deco-style in Canadian theatre design. After operating as a cinema for 67 years, the theatre was converted into an event venue in 2003. The Eglinton Grand, as it is now known, was voted Toronto’s “Top Event Facility” in 2018. It’s run by Dynamic Hospitality and Entertainment Group, who also own and operate The Guild Inn Estates.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

The Gallery: The Gallery is a room on the 2nd floor that is used for ceremonies and seats up to 200 people. Unlike the ballroom, the Gallery has abundant natural light flowing in from the skylight and windows.
The Ballroom: Think of a movie theater with all the seats removed. The Ballroom, with its lofty ceiling and beautiful round chandeliers, can host up to 420 guests for your reception.

Catering

Catering is provided in house by the Dynamic Hospitality group. Their international menu has a focus on Canadian and Italian cuisine. Kosher, Chinese and Indian catering is available upon request.

The Eglinton Grand has very few photography locations other than the ballroom and the outside façade. We recommend doing photographs at a separate location nearby.

Prices do not include extras such as additional fees, the bar or upgrades. Venue rental prices include both the ceremony and reception, prices may be lower for just the reception.
