Overview

The Carlu, a historic event space in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, originally opened in 1930 as "Eaton's Seventh Floor" and was designed by French architect Jacques Carlu. After an extensive restoration, it reopened in 2003 as "The Carlu". The venue is celebrated as one of Toronto's finest examples of Art Moderne architecture and has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada. Renowned for hosting high-profile weddings, social events, conventions, and corporate celebrations, The Carlu has welcomed royalty and dignitaries on multiple occasions.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

  1. Concert Hall: This space is their largest and can host up to 600 guests for a seated reception.
  2. Round Room: Inspired by the design of The Rockefeller Center’s iconic Rainbow Room, the Round Room boasts a unique circular layout and a central Lalique fountain and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
  3. Sky Room: The Sky Room features skylights that bath the room in natural light. This room can host up to 210 guests.
  4. Clipper Room: Perfect for intimate receptions or as a bridal suite, the Clipper Room can host up to 50 guests.

Catering is provided by Oliver & Bonacini and features a range of international cuisines. 

Photo Locations

The indoor locations at the Carlu are not ideal for photography. We recommend taking photographs at the nearby Allan Gardens or downtown Toronto.
