Overview

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) is the largest museum in Canada and one of the largest in North America, it attracts over one million visitors annually, making it the most-visited museum in the country. Blending its original heritage architecture with the contemporary design of the Daniel Libeskind-designed Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, the ROM stands as a national landmark and is a much sought after museum wedding venue.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

Hyacinth Gloria Chen Crystal Court (1st Floor): This spectacular four-storey sky-lit atrium is perfect for mixing and mingling and can host up to 550 guests for a reception.
Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery (1st Floor): Considered the “Jewel” of the museum, Samuel Hall Currelly Gallery can host up to 550 guests. The gallery’s perimeter showcases objects representing the breadth of ROM’s collections. The Currelly Gallery and Chen Court can be combined as one large event space. Furthermore, couples can rent out the entire first floor for an additional charge.
Teck Suite of Galleries, Willner Madge Gallery and Schad Gallery of Biodiversity (2nd Floor): These galleries showcase the diversity of the natural world and are more suited for intimate weddings, hosting up to 50 guests per space. Couples can rent out the entire second floor for an additional charge.
John David & Signy Eaton Court (3rd Floor): Eaton Court, located in the Samuel European Galleries, artfully displays collections of European decorative arts. The space offers deep wood accents and rich warm tones that evoke the feeling of historic Europe and can host up to 100 guests.
C5 Lounge (5th Floor): The C5 Lounge is a sleek and urban venue that showcases the fabulous architecture of the Michael Lee Chin Crystal and breathtaking views of the Toronto cityscape and can host up to 100 guests.
Entire Museum: The entire museum can be rented out for special occasions and can host up to 2500 guests in total for a cocktail reception.

Catering

External catering is provided by a few exclusive partners of the Royal Ontario Museum. They are Daniel et Daniel, L-eat Catering, Oliver & Bonacini and Presidential Gourmet.

Photo Locations

While there are a multitude of indoor locations for great photography, most couples prefer to shoot outside the museum in front of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal and surrounding gardens.
