Overview

The Royal Ashburn Golf Club’s story began in 1959 when the Paterson family purchased 225 acres of scenic farmland with a vision of creating a wonderful golf facility for the community of Durham. By the spring of 1962, this vision became a reality as The Royal Ashburn Golf Club opened its doors as an 18-hole course. Over the years, it has evolved into a world-class facility, consistently ranked among the Top 50 public golf courses in Canada. This golf club has over 40 years of experience in hosting weddings.

Ceremony and Reception Spaces

Ceremonies

Cedars Garden and Woodland Garden: These two outdoor gardens are nestled between a grove of trees and include a gazebo like chapel for your ceremony. These spaces host up to 180 and 220 guests, respectively.
Ashburn Room and Compton Solarium: These two rooms are great for indoor ceremonies. The Ashburn Room has plenty of natural light and gorgeous chandeliers while the Solarium’s glassed-in terrace and sun deck gives a panoramic view of the golf course. These spaces host up to 150 and 160 guests, respectively.

Receptions

Ashburn Room: Located on the main level, the Ashburn Room can also host receptions, comfortably seating 160 guests.
Compton Room: The Compton Room on the upper level features an adjacent sundeck, glassed-in terrace and walk-out patio all providing a spectacular view of the golf course. This space hosts up to 240 guests.
Farm & Founder Restaurant: Newly renovated for Spring 2024, the Farm & Founder Restaurant + Bar holds up to 80 people and features a modern, sophisticated space with stunning views of the golf course.
Gardenview Tent: This magnificent outdoor space can accommodate up to 250 guests for a cocktail reception or 150 guests for a sit-down meal.
